Bourgogne rouge
Mont Rayet
Our Burgundy red wine comes from a single parcel of land situated on Mont Rayet. This small plateau, very stony and ventilated, is most suitable for the production of delicate Pinot Noir wines.
The parcel : As with a number of similar parcels, called « bourguignons » that commence with « Mont », Mont Rayet refers to the small hill located on the heights above the hamlet of Champvent. The suffix « Rayet » denotes the stony and bare character of the original landscape.
Variety : 100% Pinot Noir
Age of the vines : 1964
Vinification : In oak barrels
Laying down : 4 to 7 years
Serving : Between 14 and 18°C.
Best served with :
It is a marvellous accompaniment for fine charcuterie and red meats. It also goes extremely well with summer salads and always complements cheeses.
2017 Vintage
This wine reveals bouquets of toast with a touch of vanilla. In the mouth it is both harmonious and balanced with its red fruits crisp and slightly acidic. The real charm of this wine is to be found in its suppleness, its smoothness and its delicacy.
